Epson Stylus SX100 + Fedora 10

I have a new printer : Epson Stylus SX100 which Fedora 10 detects automatically and installs with the newest Gutenprint-driver.

When I go to localhost:631 I see my printer installed.

Whatever job I start (printing a document or cleaning the cardridges) the status of the job stays at 'processing'...

Code:

[eddy@eddy ~]$ date
ma aug  3 16:40:49 CEST 2009

CUPS says :
processing since Mon Aug 3 16:34:11 2009

and waiting...

I have manually installed the gutenprint-driver from the openprinting database (rpm) but still no change.

I have restarted CUPSd and my computer... but no luck...

I also have an Epson Stylus DX4200 and all works well there...

What can be wrong ???

It might be a problem with the driver. I had a similar problem with my Canon printer which Fedora 10 also automatically detected and installed a driver, fortunately Canon had native Linux drivers on their website which I installed and it resolved the problem.

You could try checking if Epson have Linux drivers specifically for your printer and installing it.
