Thank you for your immediate reply. It helped my confidence to direct attention into the library issue. Yes I am using Slackware 32bit. What I did was a simple down to earth guesswork. The " ldd " returned the necessary libraries. I wasn't able to satisfy all of it, about 17 libraries called for, I only have fifteen, absent are: "linux-gate.so.1 (0xffffe000)" (I don't know how to deal with this, it goes directly to the memory map) and "libpthread.so.0", although I was confident that /lib/ld-lsb.so.3 was there. So I went directly to copy all Epson libraries in /opt/epson-inkjet-printer-201310w/lib to /usr/lib. Installed the printer through localhost:631 and a Test Page printed. I also printed from other application, it did.
I didn't need apply the *gentooforum link you gave me since it dealt with 64bit specific driver; there's no /lib64 folder in my root.
