Enlightenment themes! ARGH.

I have tried downloading themes, extracting them, and puting them in the /.enlightenment/themes directory in my /home dir. But they don't work

I also tried downloading wallpaper and putting that in /home/(user)/.enlightenment/backgrounds yet they don't work either.

I also tried putting them in /usr/share/enlightenment/themes and that would partially load a few parts of the menus (with no text), no wallpaper, and completely messed up my pager and iconboxes.

It's supposed to be sooo easy! 0_o

I am a gentoo user so I am using the latest Enlightenment ebuild from portage. I really want to get this working, if not I'm going back to fluxbox. Anyone have any ideas?
