Enabling Telnet Access on Mandrake 9.0

I'm having trouble enabling Telnet access on my newly installed Mandrake Linux 9.0. I have followed some of the instructions on this site, but I can't find some of the files mentioned. Can anyone walk me step by step through this. I'm very new to Linux and all I want to do is to be able to have shell access from work to my Linux box at home. Thanks very much.

well how's about eith a) tell us what files you can't find, what you HAVE done.... (we're not psychic) or b) don't use telnet, as it's stupidly insecure and use ssh instead.

and of course... c) use the search button on this very same page to find dozens of first time posters asking abou telnet.
