Enabling POSIX on FC4

Another newb question, but how do you enable POSIX on FC4? I need that enabled in order to get my card to give me the fps I want in a first person shooter. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

I also was wondering how you can uninstall packages, because right now I installed ATI vid drivers and I'm trying to update to the newest Xorg driver (6.8)(The one installed now is 4.3) and I get an error that in order to install 6.8 I must have 4.3 installed, when I try to install 4.3 it says it's already installed. Also, when I try to open the ATI Control panel I get an error that Fire GL X11 is not installed, and that not all functionality will be available.
