Enable UDP checksum

Hello,

I'm having problems in a system with two Suse Linux Servers, they have installed Oracle Database 9.2.0.8 on each server and the instances are rarely crashing suddenly.

I left a Tag with a specialist Forum for Oracle, they recommended to start an application that monitor many things using several tools of Suse Linux and I already started that tool. In addition, they also strongly recomended to Enable UDP checksum at OS level, but I don't know how I can do that.

They suggested to use the command ndd to know if the UDP checksum is enabled or not, but it doesn't work, this is the complete instruction that they gave me.

usr/bin/ndd -get /dev/udp udp_do_checksum,

I have Linux Enterprise Server and the version of the kernel is
2.6.5-7.244-bigsmp

If somebody can help me, I would like to know how I can Enable this option or if there is a site where I can find it.

Thank you very much.
Rafael,
