Hello,

What laptop do you have? Linux does not support Optimus natively; If you would like to utilize both graphic cards, check out the bumblebee project. Please note that bumblebee is not official, and using backtrack, you will most likely run into quite a few problems. Besides the warning, here is the link for you - https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee

Also, read my one thread about how I got bumblebee working on my Alienware M14x, under Fedora 15.

Cheers,

Josh

Thanks Josh ,
i own Dell XPS L501X
I actually dont need to work with my both graphics on backtrack . I am just confuse because my desktop effects are not enabling even after installing drivers for both of my cards on backtrack ! And the reason i found on internet is improper installation of drivers . beyond desktop effects , when i move any window (as terminal , nautilus etc) it shows a lot of lags .
I would be happy if any of my cards starts working and get me rid of these problems .
thanks .

And once again, learn about bumblebee, and understand what optimus is.
