Unhappy Emptying the Default Email Account

Hello,

I am using centos 5 server with WHM/CPANEL installed. I am receiving lot's of cronjob command reports on default mail adress. I need a cronjob for Emptying the Default Email Account every 30 day.

I found this:

echo > /home/user/mail/domain.com/me/inbox

I tried it but it did not work. I need a command to clear default mail.

Your help appreciated!!!

Hi osmy

How are your emails defined ?
Is it Sendmail's Inbox or Postfix Maildir or something else ? (where are your email messages stored)

Where do you keep the settings for emails,
this

doesn't really help to find a solution.

What is your default email address (mask your real address if you post it)?
Root , like "admin@example.com" ?
or is it domain default (like: "postmaster@example2.com" ) if you're serving multiple domains ?

What is generating the mails, the cron job or cpanel? If it's cron, you could point your jobs' output to /dev/null once you are certain they are working correctly, unless you must monitor the emails. This link has more: http://www.adminschoice.com/crontab-quick-reference

If it's cpanel, let us know; I have some contacts who know it in and out and I'm sure there are folks here who know cpanel very well.
