Ok... i dont have an Operating system right now, i am running off of Links2 on the Gentoo Live Install CD... ok here is the prob...
Well, i was to the part where you Mount the proc filesystem, an error came out saying "=" N something.. i get what it means.. but how can i go back to fix my make.conf file? i tried typing in "nano -w /mnt/gentoo/etc/make.conf" but now it comes up blank.. is it because i reset my computer? i thought it would save...plz dont tell me i have to start over again! :( |
ummmm yes?, if you didn't save it, you have to redo it (umm, this might surprise you, but you have to tell most programs to save a file before it actually writes to the disk the actual file

If you have created and mounted the filesystems to install Gentoo on and then reboot, you will need to mount them again. Just follow the handbook and mount the existing partitions - unless you do something destructive (like formatting the partitions) they will still be there.
