embedded system keeps changing its remote host ID

We have Ubuntu version 14 on a workstation connected to two embedded systems running Angstrom and Ubuntu. There is absolutely nothing else on this network, never will be, and therefore no external threat from anywhere.

Every time the Angstrom system is rebooted and I log in with SSH the workstation complains about how the remote host ID has changed and someone might be trying a man in the middle trick.

The long message directs me to a home directory where I find a file named known_hosts. I followed some instructions to update it but on the next reboot the same problem returns. I renamed the file but the workstation created a new one and complained again.

How might I fix this forever?. Please be patient for typos as I cannot cut and paste anything so all is handwritten here.

There are several ways to disable remote host key checking.
Via the command line

ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no user@remote_host

Create a users ssh config file i.e ~/.ssh/config
Host angstrom
   hostname ip_address or hostname
   user username
   StrictHostKeyChecking no
You can also add the above to the system wide configuration file /etc/ssh/ssh_config. You can then ssh to the embedded system by just typing

ssh angstrom
