Email Users
 

I am setting up an email server running postfix on Fedora Core 3. I use webmin to create users for all my Linux systems. I need to add 30-45 users to this system, what is the best way? Should I create a new group, and then add all the new users to this group? None of the users will ever do anything on this system besides mail services. Thanks for the help, need any more info just let me know.

the easiest setup would be to add them as regular users with no shell access. then use Maildir. Courier works great on this kind of setup. try looking in google.com/linux - use these keywords:

group assignment? yeah, one will do. but in RedHat, everytime u create a user, it creates another group with that name. u can create the usernames in one text file and script the way you will add it. try searching LQ. i think it has been discussed before.

Thanks for the tips! I was thinking that they diddint need shell access, and I am glad they don't.
