Email routing to home/office mail server?

If you setup a home/office mail server, does the mail go straight to the server;.com-.org or does it go to the company that hosts your domain name and then
to your mail server?

It all depends how the MX records are setup.
If it points to your server, mails will be delivered to your server.

Kind regards

good you said that - I thought we were talking about outgoing mail, and I was just about to post a reply like "Depends on how you configure your MUAs".
Maybe you got closer to the point.

Thanks, that's the answer I was looking for.

I'm tired of Gaggle,LOL and Cold mail.

I would rather pay for a domain and use an older computer
for a server than have to deal with them any longer.
