email alias
 

hi,

my mail server mail.example.com is hosted. I have only one pop email id:test@example.com

i have installed a sendmail and dovecot in red hat 5 on local server.
i wish to give a email access to our local users without creating pop id in mail.example.com

local users should send and receive remote email, is it possibles? and how?

What would you expect the local users' email addresses to look like?

If you want to use your local address, it has to have a domain, so you could receive email at a server in your local network.

If you want to use a commercial hosted service, example.com, you need more pop accounts.
