ok i have just installed redhat 9 on my server and i am trying to figure out how to setup a email pop3 server also i have it setup to be a web server also but how do i edit the web pages i am a newbie to linux but am trying to learn i have been working on micro-soft for so long that this seems like greek now i used to know a good amount about redhat but i havent used anything since version 5 was released

To enable POP service install the imap-2001a-18 package. Then edit /etc/xinetd.d/ipop3 and set disable = no. Then you can restart the xinetd service with service xinetd restart.

Then try to see if the POP server will anser a client with:
telnet localhost 110

Then start creating linux users.

To set your server as a web server be sure Apache is installed. Then start it with service httpd start.

cd /var/www/html and create a index.html file there.

ok i have the pop setup up i added users but i tryed to send emails to them but they arnt getting them i all my email clieant find the server through the internet and everything else but it seems like the emails just arent getting to the server or they are but arent going into the inbox on the server
