Eee PC version of linux
 

Hi guys, Im new here as i recently got an Eee PC and I'm an aboslute noob at linux. Especially with this distro as from what ive seen of linux it is quite different. For starters because of the tab based menu programs dont seem to have any shortcuts added automatically when added.
Also, Ive only installed one program and that was with help from someone so I was wondering if someone could summarise the install process (checking for packages etc) and also the uninstall process as i believe you can break things by removing a package needed by another?
Well i have a lot more questions but that will do for now. Thanks in advance to everyone.
