eee pc ubuntu grub bootloader error 22

I have the eee pc 1000h, and on it I successfully installed ubuntu 8.10. However, because the wireless would not work, I figured I should put ubuntu eee on it. Because the netbook has no cd drive, I used a program that allowed me to boot off an SD card. STUPIDLY, I deleted the old ubuntu partition and ran the program again with ubuntu eee on the SD card. Of course, with all the ubuntu files deleted, I get the GRUB error 22. I am trying to avoid buying a usb cd drive at all costs, so all ideas on how to fix this problem would be very much appreciated.

So, is there anything that I can do apart from obtaining an XP recovery disc and buying a usb cd drive?

Did you installed ubuntu eee ?
you can install DSL or Puppy on the usb, and boot from it.
Then you can fix grub

It's not clear from your post but, I assume this netbook had xp pre-installed when you bought it?? After you installed Ubuntu initially, were you booting from Grub? What program did you use to boot off the SD Card?

You installed Ubuntu 8.10, couldn't get your wireless, deleted Ubuntu 8.10 partition and tried installing Ubuntu eee and failed?? So you have no Linux OS, what are you trying to do, install Ubuntu eee? Did you use Ubuntu 8.10 Grub to boot Ubuntu/xp? Can you boot xp now?
