Editing XML

Every now and then, I have to edit XML files in z/Linux servers, using the vm editor. While it is sorta difficult to remember all the commands and even difficult to actually train others to use, I am wondering if anyone knows of a better way to access these XML files outside of the z/Linux box and edit XMLs in a Windows-like GUI. Any ideas ??

Yes, I access the server via PuTTY session or sometimes via the Tectia Client and edit the XMLs directly on the servers. So tell me more about this UltraEditor.. is it a GUI?

Altova XML Spy is a clever editor for XML files (http://www.altova.com/ref/?s=w3s_xmledit&q=xmlspy).
The W3C's test editor/browser Amaya 3.1 can also help.
Or simply chewck xml.com's list of xml editors on http://www.xml.com/pub/rg/XML_Editors .

I have used a number of text editors which have all done fine in editing xml files. Here are some sources:
http://www.gnome.org/projects/gedit/
http://scribes.sourceforge.net/

these two are specifically for xml

Screem HTML/XML editor at http://www.gnome.org
