I'm trying to get Everquest 2 to run correctly and almost everything is except it crashes on occassion when some object comes into view.

I'm trying to following the appDB instructions which state to edit the registry in this manner.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER to my understanding is the use.reg file

I can't find Direct3D listed under their. I have a nvidia video card and used hardware drivers to install the newest ones. I know its capable of 3D no problem.

You might want to grep the reg files for the entries you're looking for, if memory serves me you may want to be looking in the userdef.reg. However, that being said I've had better luck just using regedit than editing the raw text.
