Edit shortcuts in keyboard

Hello

I have fedora 18 installed and want to have a shortcut to open the terminal.
I made a customized shortcut in "keyboard", but it is disabled and it is not being enabled.

Please kindly let me know how to enable the shortcuts we create in "keyboard".

Open the keyboard shortcut window from System > Preferences > Keyboard shortcuts.

Under Desktop group, select run a terminal (which will be the last option), and press Enter key to activate it, then immediately press your key combination which you want to assign e.g. if you want Ctrl+T to open a terminal, then just after pressing the Enter key, press Ctrl+T.

I have system settings> Keyboard and there are no Desktop group there!

I had mentioned keyboard shortcuts, not keyboard. So go under: System > Preferences > and click on Keyboard shortcuts.

A new window will open for keyboard shortcuts, and in that window, you will see 'desktop' group. In that desktop group last option will be 'run a terminal'. Simply select it and press Enter key and then press Ctrl+T, so it will add Ctrl+T as a shortcut of open terminal.

I just enclosed the screen shot of keyboard short cuts, I'm sorry I cannot find what you mention.

Click on 'disable' and press Enter key, and hopefully 'disable' will be changed to 'New shortcut', then immediately press your keyboard shortcut (i.e. key combination which you want to use to open a gnome-terminal).
