Hey, I'm very new to linux, used it briefly years ago, couldnt get wine to work so i gave up. Now i installed it on my netbook as windows runs like ass due to it being such a resource hog. I'm trying to get easytether to work with it as i take this thing out on the road a lot.
I installed easytether on my phone and its working fine and connected.
I installed easytether on ubuntu, but im having problems telling it to connect.
It says to put in the terminal
but when I do that it says

it tells me

I can't seem to find a solution anywhere, so figured I'd ask here. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong on my end, thanks any help you can provide.

Also I forgot to mention I'm running Ubuntu 15.10 and Android 6.0.1 and easytether version 1.1.12 for amd64 for 15.10

Unfortunately it did not help, saw a lot of the same results i was getting from google. no one seems to be having the exact same issue im having.

If you would, please watch the language, in part because there are folks from all age ranges using the forums.

As an idea, if your system lags too much, you could try replacing Ubuntu with a lightweight version such as Lubuntu or possibly Xubuntu. They're essentially Ubuntu but with a different Desktop Environment.

Can you post link to where you got 'it' from, so I could `apt install` &try it? &read doc. (me: 16.04 i386=32bit) Also maybe try:
