Easypeasy 1.6

Hello. I have an older HP Pavilion notebook computer. It has an AMD64 processor and 2GB memory. I had been running Easypeasy 1.6 on it, but it never ran quite right, so I decided to try a different distro. I had no success, so I decided to put Easypeasy back on. I downloaded the iso and burned it to a dvd (the computer does not support usb flash drive booting). The live dvd boots fine and looks and runs great. However, when I install to the hard drive, something goes awry. The x server fails because it can't find the nvidia driver or something, and it drops into text mode. I can't remember how I got it running before (!) and am currently at a loss. I know I can use the live system to correct the hard drive; just don't know where to begin.
Anyone have a similar problem? Thanks, d.

Easypeasy 1.6

I guess I answered my own question. I attempted another install from the live dvd, but this time I did not enable wireless access. I figured that if it installed, it would could only access the data on the dvd, so it should be a virtual copy of the dvd. And, it worked! After the install completed, I booted the hard drive and it came up perfectly. Everything seems to be functioning normally. I installed VLC and am doing updates, but I'm not going to try to install the nvidia graphics driver (who needs 3D?) or the B43 (broadcom 43xx) things, since I'm using a Uniden wireless pc card which works just fine, thank you. d
