Question Easy one for you guys - Prevent monitor from sleeping

I'm running Wheezy (Debian) Linux on a Raspberry Pi. There is no mouse or keyboard connect, just monitor for displaying an event log.
How do I preventing the screen from going blank? Problem is once it sleeps, there is no way to wake it up..since no mouse or keyboard.
I do not use the gui at all, so must be from the command line.

In X you can use 'xset -dpms'
In the console setterm is probably being called in a startup script.

Without a keyboard/mouse, there is no X server running (not very well) and it would not show any windows either.

You might check the monitor itself. There should be an option to disable blanking.
