eAR os printing


downloaded eAR os from distrowatch
it is a multimedia os based on ubuntu.
in the control panel i can not any printing menu
i checked in synaptic and cups is installed.
how can i setup a printer?

I am not familiar with eAR OS (I have heard of it, but not used it), however I might be able to help. In Ubuntu, printer setup is under System > Administration > Printing, however it looks like it is done differently in eAR OS, though.

Based on screenshots (http://www.thecodingstudio.com/opens...AR%20OS%201.08), it looks like they took the OpenSuse Control Center and modified it. I doubt that really helps you, though...

It could also help if you posted the name/model of the printer.

i was looking for any option to install a printer in control panel could not find any
when i go to localhost:631 it say cups server not running.being new to linux i do not know how to start cups server..
other than printing and lack of their own forum seem like a nice distro.
