DVD patch for 2.6.2


I am geting ready to compile 2.6.2 and want to know if there is a patch needed to burn DVD-R, DVD+R , DVD-RW or DVD+RW.

No patches or changes needed for the kernel, in fact you no longer have to enable scsi-emulation to do any kind of burning (although some older versions of burning software may balk at this). If you use a burning app like k3b (the newest version) it will tell you specifically what packages you need to install for cd and dvd-burning if you don't already have them.
