DVD Drive going slow..
 
I'm trying to load some files from my DVD and the DVD is taking forever to load. What do I do to make it actually work?

[Edit] I'm using Mandrake 10.1 Official

CDs load fast, the DVDs are loading really slow.. it's annoying. I'm about to give up and install Windows XP.

In the same drive? Could it be hardware?

The same drive, yeah. I loaded a CD, loaded quick and fine. I loaded Myst: RIVEN DVD and it loaded fine too. Try loading a DVD+R of backup files from the old XP install, nothing. Taking forever.
