I have centos5 6 installation cds. i need to make this 6 cds to one dvd. please advise me.

You don't, ideally you just download the dvd. http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/5/isos/

I' sure you probably can manually extract the cd's and turn them into a dvd, but tbh, just downloading the dvd from source is infinitely easier.

@zidane_tribal is right.
You will need the installer from the DVD anyway,
so downloading the complete DVD is a must.

But if you want to spend a month and a 30 pcs. box of
DVD-R's you may find a way to get a DVD created.

Well, you could just burn the various cd iso files on to the DVD. This would not be an installer DVD but it would contain all the data.

Take a look at the CentOS wiki. They provided a script to make an installation dvd from the cd images. It refers to CentOS 4, but I guess you can easily review it before trying it out.
