Question dvd-cd player skips music

player is ok when using in windows xp but will skip in mint 10. usin rythm music player, gnome player or other player available. system monitor(processor) reaches 100% when skipping.

Hello Millie107, welcome to LQ,

please provide some information about your hardware? Which computer do you have?

Could you please open a terminal and execute the following commands
sudo lspci
lsmod | sort
and post the output here.

And please describe in more detail what you mean with "skipping".
