Duplicated Windows 7 in Grub
Hello everyone ! So I just installed Ubuntu 11.10 on a new partition on my main HDD where Windows 7 is installed and when at the OS selection menu I get Ubuntu, memory test and two Windows 7 choices. One is Windows 7 (loader) (on/dev/sda1) and the other is One is Windows 7 (loader) (on/dev/sda2.. What's that means ? It seems to be the samething when I boot each.
Thanks and sorry if my english is bad |
Not really sure but, it may be that one (sda2?) is your recovery partition if you have an OEM installation.

sda1 is most likely system reserved(resue) & sda2 is the OS.
Try booting sda2 first. |
Thanks for the quick answers
I do have an OEM installation and there is a recovery partition but both sda1 and sda2 boots my windows 7 just fine. Here is an image that shows it http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/9104/grubf.jpg |
