Duplicate /boot partition, fail to mount

Hey all. I recently installed Gentoo on my WinXP RedHat9 dual boot machine. Aside from some minor problems, I got Gentoo to boot. My next step was to go into grub.conf and add the new OS. What I noticed, though, was during bootup of RH9 it gave an error stating that it failed to mount /boot because it was a duplicate. It does finish booting into RH9. When I check the /boot dir in RH9 it only shows kernel.h, no GRUB directory. I can only assume that it finds two /boot partitions and decides not to mount either. I imagine there is a common simple solution to this. I can't be the first person to try this. Any ideas. All help is much appreciated. Thanks :confused:

Do you have 2 boot partitions, or did you just write over your boot partition with the last distro - check this with your partition program.

Normally the second distro is mounted in one partition . I have 4 distroś. Suse 9.2 - Ubuntu - and Fedora. Just one is booting from a /boot partition, the others have /boot in there own partitions. Works perfect.
