duel boot ubuntu 9.1

I have a duel boot (vista-ubuntu9.1) i686 on two different hard drives. I just installed the 9.1. I don't really use the vista, only for itunes. Problem is it wont boot to ubuntu. If I boot to vista and reboot I get linux but it wont boot straght to linux.
Any help appreciated

Did you install Ubuntu using Wubi by any chance? That could be part of the problem
Alternately, it could be that you need to reinstall the bootloader.
Try this tutorial:

Just a sidenote, it's Ubuntu 9.10, not 9.1, the last two digits are the month it was released in (ie 9.10 is October of 2009, 8.04 is April of 2008, etc.)

no no wubi. I think maybe it has something to do with mapping the drives.
