Dualbooting Mandriva / xp one harddisk

I want to dual boot mandriva / xp . I have the partitions set up and need guidance on where to put grub and how to load it. I am a neophyte , but pretty computer savvy about windows. I am using a vaio pcgk45. I have no floppy and cant boot from a jumpdrive. my recovery partition is 1, win 2, and linux is every thing else i guess 3-5.

Put the Mandriva CD/DVD in, and boot from it. It will ask you how you want to partition the disk, and put the bootloader out there for you, complete with the Windows option on the menu.
