Question DualBoot SLED11 SP1 / Win7 (with SLED11 already installed) on a HP ProBook 4530s

Hello.

I've bought a HP ProBook 4530s with SLED 11 SP1 and I must install Windows7 for work reasons, but I want to keep SLED (including the boot menu as is, just adding Win7 to it).
- I don't have a SLED CD/DVD to undo bad things Win7 will do.
- The notebook has a recovery partition, but "Using Recovery completely erases hard drive contents and reformats the hard drive" and from what I've heard, if I move that partition, the recovery option (F11) won't be available anymore.

So how can I install Win7 and solve all damage made by it?

My lacking in knowledge of Linux systems is a large setback.

If you can provide a step-by-step tutorial, please do so. Thank you.

Why not install VirtualBox or some other suitable virtual machine system in SLED11, and then install Win 7 as a VM? It's how I'd do it. YMMV. It depends on why you need Win 7 for work. Have they decided it must run in a domain at work?

I've used your solution (VirtualBox for SLES) and it worked nicely. Thank you very much.
I want to learn SharePoint. Will there be problems with Win7 as a VM?

As for the problem in the thread's title, moving SLED (root, swap, home) to an external hard might do the trick. What do you think?
