dual head nice and slow


I am an absolute beginer with linux. I have a dual monitor set up for win XP with a radeon 7000. Can any one take me though the steps, nice and slowly, as to how I can configure red hat 9 to work in a similar way.

should all be listed on the Xinerama howto at tldp.org i've also made a fair few posts about this ion this site.
