Today I installed Ubuntu onto a separate partition of my laptop's hard drive that I created. Everything seemed to work correctly, except now I can't access this partition whatsoever, meaning I'm stuck using Windows 7 every time I restart.

Another problem is that I originally had too many partitions, and had unallocated space that I wanted to turn into a media partition but couldn't. Because of that, I tried deleting the 2 GB swap drive I had made, which I also failed to do. This was all done with the disk manager that comes with windows. Any support for these issues will be appreciated. Feel free to ask for further clarification.

Rarely anything other than making some free (unallocated) space is worthwhile from Windoze.
I'd be interested to know how you managed to add a swap partition to that lot - academic interest only.
From the Ubuntu liveCD, go here and do as it says. Post the RESULTS.txt it generates so we can get a decent idea of your layout.

I added the swap partition as I was installing Ubuntu: A display came up that allowed me to edit or create partitions, and I had read that I should have a swap one, so I made it.

I decided a few hours ago to boot Ubuntu from a USB, open up Gparted, and delete any Linux related partitions while expanding the Windows one back to its normal size. As a result I got a "bootmgr is missing" error on startup, but because that doesn't have anything to do with Linux, I suppose this thread is "solved." Feel free to pm me if you have any questions. So, how did you "solved" the problem? did you re installed Windows in the intire hard drive? or did you just re installed the Windows boot manager to clean out after GRUB? What did you do?

I reinstalled Windows using a flash drive to boot from a downloaded windows 7 64-bit ISO.
