Dual Booting in Laptops

Hi guys,

I have a laptop with winxp sp2 installed on it. I'd like to dual boot the laptop with either Fedora Core or Red Hat Linux 9.0.

First of all is it advisable to dual boot a laptop?
Are there any long term chances of some discrepancy?

Thanks.
Regards.

Aloha,
I dual boot my laptop between Ubuntu and Arch and have no problems. So yes it can be done.
Mahalo,
Edward
