Dual Boot with XP & Mandrake 9.1??

My first post....

System Background:
I have a 13GB hd, 30GB, & a 60GB. The 13GB has been my OS drive, and it contains programs. The 30GB and 60GB contains CAD files, etc.

I created a dual boot system using Mandrake 9.1. I accessed Windows XP 2x after installing Linux. Somehow, I made Mandrake look for a network boot, and it does not find anything. There is no boot screen anymore, and the only hard drives that show (even booting with fdisk), are the 30GB and 60GB drives.

If boot-up if left on its own, it eventually stops and say No Operating System Found.

I do not know how to find my 13GB C Drive...

Thanks for your time and help.

Thanks for your quick reply.

The 13gb drive is not detected when the computer 1st boots up. The other 2 drives are, however.

When I select "F1" (booting with CD-1 of Mdk 9.1), and type "lsparts", the OS drive (13gb) is not listed there either....

the 1st boot device is the CD-drive, the 2nd is the floppy, and the 3rd is the hd.

if the 13 gig drive is not detected in bios then you have a problem..make sure the jumpers are set properly, try switching master/slave configuration, try it on another comp if possible.
if its not set to autodetect in bios try autodetecting it again.

DB -

I will take the 13gb drive out and make it a slave in another computer. I think the hard drive has died. I willl let you know everyone know, either way, in case the problem ever arises for anyone else.
