Dual Boot With Windows x64

Hi all, i used to have linux a few years back and i recently decided to reinstall it but i am having a few problems. I currently have windows xp 64 bit and i am trying to install fedora 6 as a dual boot. i have 2 hard drives, and orignally installed fedora on the first one, and it worked great. then i tried to install windows, but it deleted my linux drive because it was on the first harddrive, then i installed windows on the first, and now tried to install linux on the second but it doesnt do the dual boot, i guess because linux was not written onto the mbr. i tried putting the linux cd in again and changing the mbr, but it didnt work, and then when i reinstalled linux with the mbr changed, neither system would boot. i have tried every order of installation but cant get it to dual boot. I tried changing boot.ini in windows and adding a linux option with the root as \boot but i think that just makes it look in the c: drive since it didnt work anyway. anyone know what i can do?

hi

what is your partition structure on both drives?

make the partion active on which linux is installed (ie /boot partion: if u have created a separate boot partion)

if it does't work try the following

try creating two primary partions on single drive
than install windows on one partion and linux on other

do not install linux on mbr
reason is that if in future you repaired or reinstalled your windows
it will remove the linux boot information
