yeah, you can go ahead with the installation.
1) Try partitioning your HDD with Partition Magic or some partition manager softwares. I guess there will be a partition software bundled with suse. Best is, you can do it from windows XP using the partition magic.
2) Make 2 partitions , 1 for the OS and other for the swap(temp drive for linux). The OS takes about approx 2 GB or so and the swap size should be 3 times the size of your RAM .you can partition accordingly the drives.
3) Dont forget to format the drives with ext2 or ext3 file systems
4) Go ahead with the installation. Boot your suse and select the drives that you just partitioned for the linux setup!
P.S : Always make a backup of your contents before performing the partition as well as the installation.
