Dual boot - windows 7 encrypted + linux
I have problem with dual boot - win7 on first HDD, and linux mint on second HDD.
I would like that linux is set at start, where I can run Windows 7 from systems list if I like. But I have dell m6600 laptop, and atm Windows 7 is starting all the time - no matter what disc I set up in bios. Only when I press for boot menu, then I can select second HDD with linux, and use grub2 (v2.02) to start the linux system - windows 7 won't start from this menu. What I can do to boot from second disc (linux one), and how can I setup grub2 to be able to bot encrypted windows 7 from grub menu list? |
Wayyyy too much missing info.
- is it truly BIOS, or UEFI. - if the latter are you running in CSM - what type of encryption ? (describe in detail). - which Linux - name and version Most of this info can be correctly obtained for us by going here, and doing as it says. |
If you're using secure boot, it's possible that the BIOS detects linux as potential malware trying to execute before windows, so it forces windows to run.
