I am not sure if it is the latest 7.1 version, do they change it often? I could download the ISO and burn it I guess.
I will clear off HDB with partition magic. If i put a /boot partion on HDB, do you think then RH will allow me to install to it?

It is very odd to not be able to change the HD when it see them both. I can only guess that RH wants at least one partition on HDA for some reason, boot purposes or otherwise. Perhaps it is thinking that it will install LILO and wants it on HDA.

Can LILO be installed on HDB and have the W2K boot loader recognize it is there?

Well.. if you have RH7.1.. that's good.. I just wanted to make sure you weren't using 6.x??

Lilo will load on the master boot record of whatever drive you are booting the computer to (want it to). It could be any of the drives on your system. Just make sure you install it on the same one the bios is pointing to.

Tell lilo where the W2K partition is and it will boot it.

So.. you could make your linux drive the first one.. then install RH and then hook the w2k drive back to the box and rerun lilo to config for the w2k drive.
