/dev/hda6 /mnt/data vfat umask=000 0 0

Assume your partition is /dev/hda6 and the filesystem is vfat. Put that line on /etc/fstab.

thanx a lot! another question though. i was looking up at the kernel when it boots and it gives me a warning about a ntfs file system... yeah i know its windows, but, here's my question, can i write into that directory? i saw the (r,w) thing... or is it not possible because its another filesystem.
