Dual boot partitioning
Good day everyone,
Can someone helps to guide me step by step on how to do the partitioning using disk druid on my XP pro computer. I want to install RH8.My computer is using 20Gb with 384mhz sdram.The XP has ate up 5GB and the others is reserved for the RH8.But i don't know how to specify the /,boot and swap.Someone pleaseee...help me!U can email to me at farez@mimos.my.Thanks for all...Bye. |
you will choose the partitions inside the redhat install... just follow the wizard.

Chris is absolutely right. Right after choosing the installation type, your next screen will be the Disk Partitioing one. It has three options, choose the third: Keep all partitions and use existing free space.
Then the neat thing happens--Red Hat displays how it thinks it ought to use the space. Until you learn how (and why) to use a different approach, just use theirs. That's all there is to setting up the partition. |
