Dual boot menu entry missing after system restore


Run 19.1 + Win7 and prior to restoring Linux with Timeshift after fatal problem, on startup the boot menu included an entry for 'Windows Boot Manager' ..... afterwards this option missing ... how to restore access???

"Fatal problem" with what, Mint or windows? What happened when you ran sudo update-grub?

Problem was with Linux ..... ran Ubuntu live USB to install the snapshot ..... no knowledge of having to run the terminal entry you mention ....

open a terminal and run
Code:
sudo update-grub
as Yancek has suggested to see if you get your windows menu entry
