Dual-Boot --Linux to Linux

Awright I'm going in knowing it's beyond newbie, it like stubie, but I have OpenSuse on one and I want to add Knoppix and dual boot. How do I create another paritition. OpenSuse is using up the whole drive and its a big one--200GB. I know I have to creat a partition but what commands? Then once the parition is created how does it know to load to that new partition. Thanks in advance.

I don't know about Knoppix specifically but all of the Linux distributions that I've used would be able to make the correct changes to the disk and startup without any problems.

Resize your current partitions with a livecd like GPartEd, then install the extra Linux distribution. Depending on whether it uses LILO or GRUB by default, it should find the other distribution.
