DSL Linux transfer to hard disk
 
can easily boot DSL from the supplied memory stick but when I transfer the boot files to hard disk, I cannot boot into the OS.
Please help

You copied the files, and then you tried to boot directly from your HDD?
If that is the case and you didn't know how to set the boot settings in properly in grub, or if you just didn't install it, then that's the problem.
Install grub in your HDD. Check how to edit the menu.lst file too.
If you still can't boot it, be more specific about what you did, where/when did it fail, etc.

The tinycorelinux installation procedure may help you understand what DSL requires. This will include:
-Partition must be bootable
-grub must know where the kernel is
-grub must be installed
