hi guys! first of all: i'm a TOTAL newbie, so please explain everything in a detailed way....
i got problems configuring my dsl modem (avm fritzcard dsl sl usb) in linux. it's about the only modem that is not found automatically, so i needed to download the drivers.
now i got em, and already read the pretty detailed instructions, but i have no clue what to do after unpacking the driver .tar. it is a usb modem and i have a dual boot (windows xp on the other drive).
now everything i tried to configure it the windows driver got messed up and i had to deinstall the modem driver and set it all up again. this is really annoying, so could someone please help me? is it possible to have the internet run on both OS?
when i boot linux, the green "USB"light on the modem is working, but the "DSL", "PPP" and "INFO" is not, whereas the ppp and info is only turned on when i'm connected.
