Driver needed for Ethernet ID7 network card

Hi There

My IT dept is currently building a new Red Hat server (im completely new to Linux so this is what I know!).

We have converted our peripheral hardware from RS232 to Ethernet by installing ethernet ID7 network cards in each. The supplier does not have any drivers for Linux, please could you tell me where I can download drivers for red hat? We have managed to ping the device for an IP address but cannot communicate any further.

Hope this makes sense! Would be so grateful for help on this.

If you can ping the device, you're good.

When you say "can't communicate further" - how are you trying to communicate with it? A web browser?

What kind of communications are you hoping for? (Web Server, File Server, Email Server, etc.)
