Welcome to LQ.

I have yet to meet a wireless mouse ( or keyboard ) that doesn't work
in (any) Linux OS. ( Be it bluetooth or other wireless.)

The 'Microsoft wireless mouse 4000' seems to work too ...

mouse driver for MS 4000

Thanks to all of you who responded to my question. I am embarssed to say that it was resolve by changing the batteries. There was just enough charge to fool me into thinking I had power. Agin, thanks for your help.
