It would help if you told us:
the version of DL you are trying to install
what you have done so far in trying to install (the steps you have completed)
what application (if any) you are running to do the installation
what you are trying to apply
etc.

So, you have clicked the "install" button and nothing happens?

Go through the procedures again. Make sure you have the partition you made specified as the root "/" partition. Did you make a separate partition for swap? Swap does not have to be very big depending on ram and hard drive size.

There should be some install literature in the live cd.

Checksums should be checked for iso quality. Could be a bad burn. Could be an installer bug. My experience with Dream is that final releases are alpha quality.

Question I've had many problems in trying to install Dreamlinux 3 too..

I've had many problems in trying to install Dreamlinux 3 too because it still uses Xfree86 instaead of Xorg as video driver and refused to start installation with a Geforce 6600 gt so keeped my Fedora 8 partition..and i'm more than fully satisfied !

if you don't know anything about linux, do not make life harder for yourself and try starting with ubuntu.

This thread is pretty old now, so I'm posting just to refresh this topic and to do justice to the distribution

There's been a lot happening with Dreamlinux since April.
DL3.5 will be released in about a month's time and if anyone is interested, there is a testing version, 3.5rc4 available now.

A customized kernel, 2.6.27-1-i686-dream comes with rc4 and work is being done now with 2.6.28

Dreamlinux has it's own section in LQ now, so head on over HERE

A lot of Dreamlinux's staff have also set up shop here so we're ready to help
