whenever I download something in firefox, whenever i got to the folders section i specifyed it to go to, it shows it empty, help? I am using gnewsnese
In open Firefox and go to the Edit->Preferences->Main (tab) section. In the "Downloads" section of the Main tab you can specify which folder you want your downloads to go in. If you are not happy with where they are going now you can change the location.
Cheers,
jdk

Nvm, i actia;;u jave epiphany web browser. And I specified it to go somewhere, but it ends up in my rcence documents? Right click etc. not in my folders..
Which version of FF? Most let you specify the download location via the 'Tools >options' then select the Main. You should find a 'Save' somewhere on the window with a Browse option.
I like to create a 'downloads' folder on my 'DeskTop'. Within that I'll create sub-folders that I'll move my downloads too if I need to save.

Sorry, didn't see what I was typing, Sorry for the confusions, I thought I had firefox but I am really using epiphany browser. I have a specified folder, called documents and I send it there and it endds up as recent documents, send it to my music folder and nothing there. Whenever I try to open it, it doesn't install like it would windwos, but it justs a bunch of files. How would I install a program in linux?
For example, like trying to boot up a cd? Or a program like firefox? Where I can't even find where i put it, because whenever I download something it doesn't show up, it goes into an abyss or something. >,>

Perhaps there's something wrong with Epiphany, I don't know. Try another browser and see what happens. What, specifically, are you trying to install? You should try your distribution's package management system before trying to get software any other way.
